George Wilmot, Founder
Phone: (207) 620-8623George Wilmot is the company’s founder. Prior to joining MESCA back in 1982 he was responsible for Marketing with St Johnsbury Trucking Company in Scarborough, Maine. His responsibilities covered sales and marketing for Maine in addition to special sales projects. He is a member of the National Small Shipment Traffic Council (NASSTRAC), The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL), Maine Motor Transport Association (MMTA) and Maine International Trade Center (Marketing Maine to the World). George is one of the original founders of MESCA, originally known as Merchant Shippers Co-operative Association.
John Heckman, C.E.O.
Phone: (603) 662-9137John Heckman is the company's C.E.O. and has been with MESCA for fifteen years. Prior to this position he served as Senior Vice President for MESCA. John has over three decades of experience in LTL transportation and is an expert on LTL transportation matters. He holds BBA and MBA degrees from Ohio University, Athens, OH. Prior to joining MESCA, he spent 20 years with St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. in various management positions, the final one as Director of Terminals. Heckman has served on the New Hampshire Transportation Board of Directors.
Marvin Littel, CFO
Phone: (207) 620-8657Marvin Littel is MESCA's Chief Financial Officer. He has been with MESCA since 1993. As CFO he reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives. Marvin is also responsible for maintaining a stable IT environment to ensure seamless day to day operations of the company. He was previously employed with St Johnsbury Trucking Co. as Supervisor of Rating for 10 years.
Dennis Reed, Senior Vice President
Phone: (207) 620-8620Dennis Reed is the company's Senior Vice President and has been with MESCA since 1996. He has a BS in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Vermont. With over 30 years of experience in transportation with St. Johnsbury Trucking Co. and at MESCA, Dennis specializes in carrier rating, pricing and logistics solutions. In his current position, he also acts as a liaison between the carriers and clients.
John Reed, V.P. of Sales
Phone: (802) 274-4151John Reed is the company’s Vice President of Sales and has been with MESCA for 10 years. John graduated from Norwich University in 1975. From there, he worked for St. Johnsbury Trucking Company as an Account Sales & Marketing representative. He was there until 1993 when they closed their doors. His next employer was Coles Express (later known as Viking Freight Systems) where he remained until April of 1997. Shortly after that, he was hired by Land Air Express as a VP of Sales.
Lisa King, V.P. of Operations
Phone: (207) 620-8627Lisa King is the company’s Vice President of Operations for both MESCA Freight Services and Beech Hill Enterprises. She holds a Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Transportation Logistics from Georgia Tech. Lisa has been with MESCA for 5 years and previously managed Inbound Transportation and Logistics for Hannaford Bros grocery store chain to all 4 of their distribution centers from Maine to Florida.
Eric Littel, V.P. of Information Technology
Phone: (207) 620-8656Eric Littel is the company’s Vice President of Information Technology and has been with MESCA for 6 years. Eric graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2003 with a BS in Computer Science. Prior to joining MESCA, Eric administered multiple Oracle databases and built several custom web applications for the University of Southern Maine for 6 years. He is a Sun Microsystems Certified Java Programmer and a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
Noah Wilmot, President
Phone: (207) 620-8667Noah Wilmot is the company’s President and had been with MESCA for over 10 years. Prior to this position he served as the firm’s Executive VP. He graduated from the University of Maine with a BA in Business Management and is pursuing his MBA from SNHU. Noah has held various leadership positions throughout MESCA and is a member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association along with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
